Item #552

Handel table lamp.  This is as good as it gets!  Large, bulbous base, with triple socket cluster.  Sockets are Hubbell, with acorn pulls.  Base, shade, and shade ring are properly signed.  The Art Nouveau l8-inch “chipped ice”, obverse painted shade, is numbered #6320, with artist initials HB, for Henry Bedegie, one of Handel’s top artists.  All parts are mint, and original to this lamp, right down to the plug!   Now….the best part!  This lamp is a totally unknown example…photo’s do not appear in any lamp books…and there are no prior Auction or Gallery results!  This is the only known example of this shade!  Handel collectors…here is your chance to own a one of a kind!!!  Complete provenance is available, upon request.

Price $12,000

Item #553

Handel table lamp.  Leaded glass shade measures 18". This lamp is totally original, and in mint condition. The base is solid bronze, rather than the usual patinated spelter metal. Heat cap, finial, sockets and pulls are original. The base is embossed Handel, and the shade has the soldered in Handel tag. This is a great example of Handle's better lamps, and is quite scarce; the lamp base, nor shade, do not appear in any of the Handel lamp books. A rare one!
